Philip Seymour Hoffman Dead At Age 46

Philip Seymour Hoffman has been found dead at the age of 46 in his NYC apartment.
The cause of death has yet to be determined and the police are currently investigating, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.
It's speculated that Philip Seymour Hoffman died of an apparent drug overdose as the actor has been battling with a substance abuse problem for many years.
According to law-enforcement officials, a hypodermic needle and two glassine envelopes containing what appeared to be heroin were found in Philip Seymour Hoffman's apartment.
Screenwriter David Katz was said to be concerned about Hoffman and found the actor in Hoffman's bathroom this afternoon where Katz proceeded to call 911.
Philip Seymour Hoffman won an Oscar for the Best Actor Award in 2005 for Capote. He was most recently seen as Plutarch Heavensbee in The Hunger Games movies.
